Oh MAC......

Okay, so I haven't officially been tagged, but I've seen this on quite a few blogs so I just had to join in :) Enjoy!

How long have you been using Mac?
Oh my... I think I got my first MAC product when I was about 17 so about 9 years...

What was your first Mac product?
Pink Freeze Eye Shadow. I'm almost done my third pot of it I <3>

What's your all time favourite Mac product?

Probably a tie between eyeshadow and lipstick.

What's your least favourite Mac product?
Their primers. Not super impressed for the price :/

Do you own a Pro Card?
Sadly, no. I'm just an amateur...

Your Mac foundation shade:
NW25 (NW20 in Studio Sculpt)

Your favourite Mac-Foundation:
Studio Fix Fluid.

Eyeshadow:
Satin Taupe, Pink Freeze, and Cosmic(LE).

Lipstick:
Myth, Lavender Whip, Hue.

Lipgloss:
Don't own many of these but I do like the plushglasses. Favorite one is Nice Buzz.

Liner:
Only have one (So There Jade) and its alright...

Brush:
I'm sooo not on the band wagon with these, but I do not own any MAC brushes. Personally I just think they want too much $ for them, and I have quite a few other brands of brushes that I'm very happy with.

Nail Lacquer:
I only ever had one from ages ago (it was in a little square bottle) I think I got it maybe 6 years ago, and I can't remember the name. It was a creamy metallic caramel color and I loved that shade sooo much. They have definitely changed the formulations b/c now I dont think the colors or the staying power are worth the price..

Pro Product:
Yeah for the pro store downtown! I think it has to be Fleshpot lipstick and Virgin Isle Cream Color Base.

Comment on the following Mac product; Have you used them? If so, give feedback.

Prep + Prime Skin:
Meh. All I gotta say. Tried it, not excited.

Full Coverage Foundation:
Never tried, although looks intriguing.

Studio Sculpt Foundation:
I may be one of few who feel this way but I do not like this at all. It makes my face look like an oily mess at the end of the day and I'm not super keen on the gel texture.

Face + Body Foundation:
Would like to try this one day in the near future.

Mineralize Satin Finish:
Never tried but seems like too light in the coverage dept. My skin requires good coverage :)

Studio Fix Fluid:
Loveee. Cannot say too many good things about this. Always go back to it when I want a flawless face.

Hyper Real Foundation:
I have not used.

Select SPF15 Foundation:
This was my first MAC foundation and I loved it a lot. It has decent coverage, sun protection and I got a lot of compliments with it :)

Studio Tech Foundation:
Never Tried.

Studio Fix Powder:
Never Tried.

Studio Stick:
Never Tried... Don't quite like the idea of a stick form..

Hyper Real Pressed Foundation:
Never Tried.

Beauty Powder:
Not a huge fan. I bought Tippy BP Blush from the Hello Kitty collection and was unimpressed with the texture so I returned it :/

Sculpting Powder:
Like the idea of it but don't own one.

Shaping Powder:
Like the two-in-one (sculpt and shape).

Loose Blot Powder:
Never Tried. Not a fan of loose powder.

Pressed Blot Powder:
Never Tried.

Mineralize Skinfinish Natural:
I do like these.. the one I have has a strip of shimmer/highlight at one end and I find it difficult to use this as a setting powder without getting shimmer on my brush (don't want my whole face to be a disco ball :P)

Mineralize Skinfinsh:
I like these sometimes. I own two and love them, but I find a lot of the ones they have released have been wayyy too shimmery/glittery for my liking.

Bronzing Powder:
I used to wear the Refined Golden Bronzer everyday when I was in my late teens/early 20's.. they are ok but I've found other ones that I enjoy more.

Powder Blush:
These are ok, I own a couple, but I think most of them are easily dupeable and prefer Nars blushes (more pigmentation).

Blushcreme:
Haven't tried.

Mineralize Blush:
Again, same with the MSF's, some of these are way too glittery for me but I got a couple from the Grand Duo's collection and they are quite nice.

Gel Blush:
Haven't tried.

Cream Color Base:
I like these, I want to own more than one. They are a great base and have really good staying power. The pro shades of these are awesome.

Studio Sculpt Concealer:
Have tried on in the store but wasn't overly impressed with coverage so I opted for the Select Cover up instead.

Select Cover Up Concealer:
Recently picked this up after watching countless videos on You Tube about people raving about this concealer. I like it, it has good coverage and I like that it doesn't crease under my eyes.

Select Moisture cover Concealer:
Never tried.

Studio Finish Concealer:
Never Tried.

Studio Stick:
Never tried. Again, not a huge fan of stick-form unless its for your lips.

Lip Erase:
Love the idea of this cuz I appreciate a nude lip but I have heard very bad reviews.

Tinted Lip Conditioner:
Surprisingly like this a lot. I didn't think I would but I got one from the HK collection and it smells lovely and the texture is great. Good color payoff as well.

Lipstick:
Hands down the best lipsticks I own. Love the color selection, love the different formulas and staying power. My collection is still modest compared to some but I plan on expanding it shortly :)

Lipglass:
Don't see anything really great about these. I find them a bit sticky and there isn't as many colors as I would like but they are ok.

See Thru Lip Color:
Never tried.

Dazzleglass:
I like these, they are a nice idea. I like that they are creamy and stay on forever but honestly the price they want for these is outrageous (21.50 CAD)?!

Cremesheen Glass:
I like the colors that were available, I'm sad I missed out on the light purple one :(

Lip Gelee:
Never tried.

Lip Pencil:
Never tried. I find that even MAC don't have a true-nude lip pencil ( like fleshpot-nude) and it drives me nuts! There is nothing I hate more than brown lipliner....

Solar Bits:
For the amount that you get in those little pots, I really didn't see the appeal at all. I didn't find them overly special, pigments give essentially the same effect.

Nail Lacquer:
Changed formulation and do not like. Too streaky.

Shadestick:
I have two of these and they are great as bases...good shade selection too.

Paint:
I have bare canvas and it's alright. I think I should have got the paint pot in bare study instead.

Paint Pots:
Like these a lot. Great bases, nice colors. I need more of these.

Eye Shadow:
MAC's flagship product. If they are known for anything, I think it would be the shadows and they do live up to the hype... amazing.

Pigment:
These are nice. I have two, but I will never, in my lifetime, go through the ginormous pots of these. Kind of a ridiculous size in my opinion. They should put out a line of pigments in the same size of Barry M Dazzle Dust containers, then I would be sold :)

Glitter:
Not a glitter fan.

Eye Kohl:
Never tried.

Chromaline:
Never tried.

Fluidline:
Haven't tried.. I'm liking the Stila one in my kit for now.

Liquid Last Liner:
Love the fact that these last through everything, but hate the fact that I almost have to pull out my eyelashes one by one at the end of the day to get it off...even after using baby oil :(

Lustre Drops:
These are another Meh product for me. They look nice, but I have too many other products that do the same thing.. (by Benefit etc...)

False Lashes:
Can't stand applying these.. but I like the ones I've seen in the store. Kinda pricey though I would rather buy the Ardell or NYX ones.

ProLash Mascara,Zoom Lash Mascara,Plush Lash Mascara, Dazzle Lash Mascara:
Ahh MAC mascaras, I knew this was coming... I don't particularly hate them... but they don't perform any miracles. I have found copious amounts of drug-store mascaras 1/3 of the price that do more than these ones. If i had to pick a favorite it would be Plush Lash-I find its the best of a bad lot..

What has been your favourite Mac collection to date?
Moonbathe. Gorgeous eye and cheek colors came out with this collection and I'm still mad that I didn't get more of them :(

Which Mac collection, in your opinion, do you think was disappointing, if any?
Where do I begin? Naw... the last few have been quite disappointing for me though. Naked Honey was totally less than what I expected, and Color Craft disappointed me quite a bit..

What products do you think Mac are missing?
I would have to really think about this one because they have so much of everything... I will get back to you on this..

Ok so I took the idea from a couple other bloggers out there and wanted to create my own lipstick army pics haha. I have added most of these to my collection in the past year or so... I have some sort of obsession with lipstick lately, especially nudes and pinks, whereas before, I would never wear it. I was a gloss-only kinda girl. Anyways...onto the pics..

da da da DA!!!!

Yeahhh I finally made it... I actually did what I've been wanting to do for some time, creating my own blog. A place where I can ramble on about whatever tickles my fancy, and hopefully relate to some people out there who have the same sick addiction to make-up as moi (or any beauty product for that matter).

Huge news! Two Sephora's had their grand opening in the Vancouver area yesterday (soooo excited!). One in Coquitlam, one downtown Vancouver. I went to the latter as it's a bit closer to me. Little did I know how popular this grand opening would be. I foolishly thought to myself; Hmm I doubt many people will be there at 9:30am, its not a hugely busy mall after all. Wrong!!! I found myself at the end of a queue of 100+ people waiting anxiously for the doors to open! I noticed the Urban Decay display through the window even 50 feet away and I proceeded to make a bee-line for it as soon as we slowly filed in. I must say, the selection was impressive. The one I had been to in Seattle carried a bit more, but, we have not had anything remotely close to this amount of selection in our area before so I can't complain. I mozied around the store, glancing at shelves that weren't being ravaged by people and ended up coming out with a few great little treasures. I purchased, a Too-faced shadow palette (with a liquid liner transforming wand), a face cleanser by Philosphy called "Purity Made Simple"-which I had used in the past and is actually quite good, 2 Sephora by OPI nail varnishes (Metro Chic, and Ocean Love Potion- a gorgeous turquoisey blue), and last but not least an Urban Decay 24/7 liner in "Baked". (Pictures of my haul below)
I was very happy with my purchases and could not wait to use the shadows-the pigmentation is really nice. Oh, I got a free Sephora umbrella too! All-in-all a great day for hauling :) I hope you're all having a great night, even tho I have no followers yet :P To quote Paris, "ttfn"
